Things That Are Cool: Literary Action Figures.

Well, I think they’re cool. It’s not like I have enough stuff on my desk already.

And ‘action figure’ has to be something of a misnomer — Shakespeare here on the left comes with a removable quill pen but sadly no iambic pentameter-composing action.

I’ve been trying to reign in my impulse-spending habits. But Shakespeare’s Den collection of literary-themed toys is making it tough. Although while we’re on that topic, Lifehacker’s “Comfort Principle” is a pretty decent idea to keep in mind. (“Literary Action Figures”) has a fun gallery if you’re looking for that special gift for the lit-nerd in your life. Such as, 3″ versions of William Shakespeare, James Joyce, Mark Twain, and Edgar Allan Poe.
