Any of them seem familiar? And then there are the graduate students who are a few different types rolled into one, with those competing impulses waging an eternal struggle. #6 strikes a chord with me:

“6. The One Who Just Needs Answers: They really are motivated purely by the desire to find answers about their specific area of interest.”
